The social media feature
The Social Media feature in Reputation allows businesses to manage, verify, and update URLs for their social media profiles and review platforms in a centralized location, ensuring accurate review collection and seamless customer feedback. With a user-friendly interface and support for various platforms, this tool streamlines review gathering through automated processes while maintaining historical data integrity.
Configuring social media links
-
Navigate to Configuration > Online > Social media.
On the Social Media page, you'll see a list of all currently configured social media and review platform links for each business unit.
Social media links can be configured during onboarding or adjusted later if necessary. This interface allows customers to review the configured URLs or add/edit URLs if required.
Notes: It is always recommended that our Customer Success or Onboarding teams manage the configuration of social links. Users can review and add links but should proceed cautiously.
To manage the platform links:
-
Select the specific business unit from the list.
-
The Details of unit window will appear. Here, you will see a list of fields you must fill out for each platform.
-
Scroll down this window to find the platform you want to configure. The available platforms are:
-
Google Query: A query that triggers the Google Business profile to appear on the Google search results page.
-
Google Place ID: A unique identifier for the Google Business profile. This field is non-editable and managed exclusively by the Mapal team.
-
Tripadvisor
-
Fourchette / TheFork / ElTenedor
-
Yelp
-
DesignMyNight
-
Zomato
-
Talabat
-
OpenTable
-
JustEat
-
Deliveroo
-
Facebook
-
-
Enter the relevant URL for the selected platform.
-
Select Accept to save the changes.
Notes: Incorrect URLs can interrupt the review collection process, leading to lost data. If a URL is changed, all previously gathered reviews linked to the old URL will be marked as removed and will no longer be accessible. This could result in a significant loss of historical data.
