Overview
Employee Sentiment brings your team's feedback into Mapal Manager, so you can see how people are feeling without leaving the app or switching to another system.
It sits alongside your other operational views and works the same way as the reporting you already use, so there is very little new to learn.
What is Employee Sentiment?
When your team clock in and clock out, they can be asked a short set of questions about how their shift is going. Employee Sentiment is where those answers are turned into something you can actually use.
It answers the questions every manager has but rarely has time to chase:
- Are people arriving in a better mood than they leave in?
- Is anything shifting across my locations that I should look at?
- Are enough people actually responding for me to trust what I am seeing?
Who it is for
- Site and location managers who want an early read on how their team is doing
- Area and multi-site managers comparing sentiment trends across locations
- Anyone already using the Mapal Manager dashboard — Employee Sentiment appears there automatically if you have permission to see it
Where to find it
There are two ways in:
- From your dashboard — the Employee Sentiment tile sits in the Workforce section and shows a live summary. Tap it to open the full view.
- From the menu — open the menu and select Employee Sentiment.
The three views
Employee Sentiment gives you three ways to look at the same picture. You can switch between them at any time.
Entry vs Exit
Compares how your team feel at the start of a shift against how they feel at the end. This is often the fastest way to spot that something about the shift itself is worth a closer look.
You can view it by:
- Score — the overall sentiment rating
- Number of Answers — how many responses sit behind that score
- Participation — how much of your team is taking part
eNPS
Shows how likely your team are to recommend working with you, grouped into promoters, passives, and detractors. Useful for tracking direction of travel over time and comparing across locations.
Valuations
Looks at how responses are distributed rather than just the headline number. You can view it by Score, Participation, or Answers — so you can see the result, how many people took part, and how their answers were spread.
Filtering what you see
Every view shares the same controls, so once you have set them up you can move between views without losing your place:
- Parameters and filters to narrow down to the locations, teams, or periods you care about
- Group By to change how results are broken down
- Scenarios to switch between saved sets of selections
Your current selection stays visible while you browse, so you always know exactly what you are looking at.
What Employee Sentiment does not cover
Employee Sentiment is a place to review results. It does not include:
- Setting up or editing surveys and questions — this is managed in Workforce
- Changing anything about the clock-in or clock-out process
- Administrative reporting owned directly by Workforce
Access and permissions
Employee Sentiment uses the permissions you already have in place. If you cannot see the dashboard tile or the menu entry, speak to whoever manages permissions for your organisation.
