Summary
This release introduces clearer holiday preference selection and validation, ensures Sign out is always available from the main menu, and improves the desktop layout for evaluations. We also delivered stability improvements and platform updates to keep the experience reliable and responsive.
Note: Availability on iOS may take up to 24 hours due to Apple’s review process and will require updating the app to the latest version.
Enhancements
Choose the holiday period your preferences apply to
Employees can now select the specific holiday period their preference request applies to. Dates and available days are checked against the selected period before the request is submitted. Holiday Preferences also respects the Workforce setting that controls who can request preferences, preventing ineligible requests up front.
Why this matters
Holiday planning becomes more predictable. Employees see exactly which period they are requesting against and how much allowance is available, reducing avoidable corrections.
Key benefits
- Clearer choice: Select the correct holiday period before submitting.
- Checked before submitting: Dates and days available are validated against the chosen period.
- Stronger alignment: Workforce remains the source of truth for eligibility and limits.
Sign out is always available in the main menu
The desktop main menu now always shows your profile block while the session is active, so Sign out is always within reach — even if profile details have not loaded yet. If your details cannot be retrieved immediately, the menu shows "Unknown employee" with a placeholder avatar and switches to your real details when they load.
Why this matters
Sessions remain under user control. Sign out is consistently available, and the menu degrades gracefully instead of appearing broken.
Key benefits
- Always reachable: Sign out no longer depends on profile data loading.
- Clearer fallback: A placeholder and label replace a blank entry.
- Self-correcting: Real details appear as soon as they load.
Improvements
More room to read and answer evaluations on desktop
On desktop, evaluations open in a wider drawer. The evaluation summary and the questions and answers now use the extra width, reducing scrolling for long questions and free-text answers.
Why this matters
More space makes it easier to read, think, and complete evaluations with higher quality responses. Other survey types are unchanged, and mobile and tablet experiences are unaffected.
Key benefits
- More room: Uses the full width of the large drawer on desktop.
- Less scrolling: Long content is easier to read and complete.
- No changes elsewhere: Other survey types and devices are unaffected.
