New Features
Translation language settings
Admins can now choose which languages their organisation can auto-translate content into.
In Settings > Translations, admins select languages from the Languages list. The content builders then show a Translations step with a tab for each one. Available languages: English, French, Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Polish, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Finnish and Italian.
Why this Matters
Each organisation needs different languages. Setting them once means the builders only show the ones its teams use.
Key Benefits
- Set once: Applies across all content builders
- Relevant languages only: No tabs for unused languages
- Simpler setup: The Translations step appears only once a language is selected
Auto-translation for employee content
We have added translations to the content builders, so employee content can be published in several languages.
When content is created or edited, a new Translations step shows a tab for each of the organisation's translation languages. Admins can click Auto-translate to fill in a translation automatically, then review and edit it before publishing. Employees in Mapal One see the content in their own language, and see the original if no translation exists.
Translations are available for:
- Posts in news and forum channels
- Events
- News/forum channel names
- Recognition reasons
- Suggestion box categories and subcategories
Why this Matters
Content could previously only be published in one language, so employees who speak other languages could find it harder to understand, or would miss important updates.
This update makes it quicker to reach multilingual teams, without writing each translation by hand or creating separate posts for each language.
Key Benefits
- Faster translation: Content is translated automatically in one click and can then be refined as needed
- Reach every employee: Employees see content in their own language in Mapal One
- Consistent setup: Every builder uses the same Translations step
- Better search: Searches find posts by their translated titles and summaries
Enhancements
Full-page setup for Suggestion Box categories and subcategories
We have updated the design for creating and editing Suggestion Box categories and subcategories.
Categories and subcategories are now created and edited on a full page instead of in a side drawer. The new page uses the same step-by-step layout as other builders, such as Push Surveys. Subcategories are now managed from the category page, and the Add subcategory option has been removed from the category row menu.
Why this Matters
The side drawer offered limited space to set up categories, and it worked differently from the other builders in Engagement.
This update gives admins more room to set up categories and makes the experience consistent across builders, with space for translation services too.
Key Benefits
- More space: Categories and subcategories are set up on a full page
- Consistent experience: Setup matches other Engagement builders
- Clearer structure: Subcategories are managed alongside their parent category
Reset date filter on Survey answers
We have added a way to reset the date filter on Survey answers.
When the date filter has been changed from its default, a Reset link appears next to it. Selecting Reset returns the filter to the page's default date range and keeps any other filters in place.
Why this Matters
Returning to the default date range previously meant reselecting it manually, or clearing all filters and starting again.
This update makes it quicker to return to the default view without losing other filter selections.
Key Benefits
- Quick reset: Return to the default date range in one click
- Other filters kept: Only the date filter is reset
- Shown only when needed: Reset appears only when the date filter has been changed
