Enhancements
Evaluator upload status emails use the standard report template
Evaluator upload processing emails now use the standard branded report template used for other dashboard report emails.
Why this matters
Users get a consistent and familiar experience when receiving the results of an evaluator upload. The standard format makes the email easier to recognise alongside other dashboard reports.
Key benefits
- Consistent experience: Evaluator upload results use the same familiar format as other dashboard report emails.
- Clearer communication: Users can quickly recognise and understand the status of their evaluator upload.
- Professional presentation: Upload results are presented using the standard branded report format.
Push Survey responses available through API
Raw Push Survey response data is now available through a secure REST API, allowing survey responses to be accessed for reporting and analysis in external platforms.
Why this matters
Survey response data can be accessed directly without relying on manual downloads or consolidation, making it easier to use survey data alongside other operational information.
Key benefits
- Flexible reporting: Customers can use raw survey response data in their own BI and reporting platforms.
- Easier analysis: Survey responses can be combined with other operational data for more comprehensive analysis.
- Scalable data access: Customers can retrieve large volumes of survey responses through a secure, paginated API.
Control likes, dislikes and comments on forums
Admins can now control whether employees can use likes, dislikes and comments when creating posts in Mapal One forums. The settings are available from the forum setup page and are enabled by default.
Why this matters
Different forums may need different approaches to employee interaction. Giving admins control over these interactions allows for a more tailored experience, helping organisations create forums that suit their specific needs and culture.
Key benefits
- Flexible engagement: Choose which interactions employees can use in each forum.
- More supportive communities: Disable dislikes where a more positive interaction style is preferred.
- Consistent administration: Interaction settings apply to employee-created forum posts in Mapal One.
Custom work anniversary messages
Admins can now customise the message automatically sent with work anniversary recognitions in Mapal One, including the employee's name and years of service.
Why this matters
The standard work anniversary message may not suit every organisation. Custom messaging allows the recognition to reflect the organisation's preferred tone and wording.
Key benefits
- Personalised recognition: Create messages that reflect the organisation's own tone and style.
- Greater flexibility: Use employee name and years of service placeholders to tailor each message.
- Consistent messaging: Apply one company-wide message to future work anniversary recognitions.
Select individual employees without an employee level
Users can now select one or more individual employees without first selecting an employee level when creating an audience.
Why this matters
Individual employees can be targeted directly without having to create a broader employee-level audience first, making it easier to send content only to the people who need it.
Key benefits
- More precise targeting: Select specific employees without also selecting an employee level.
- Greater flexibility: Combine individual employees with employee levels when a broader audience is required.
- Simpler audience selection: Target individual employees directly without an unnecessary additional selection.
Forum comments added to Employee Overview
The Employee Overview Communications section now shows the number of forum comments alongside forum posts and news comments.
Why this matters
Including forum comments gives a more complete view of an employee's activity and engagement across the different communication channels.
Key benefits
- More complete insights: See forum comments alongside other communication activity.
- Better visibility: Understand how employees are contributing to forum discussions.
- Consistent reporting: Forum comments follow the same reporting and comparison approach as news comments.
Group chat names added to push notifications
Group chat push notifications now show the channel name as the notification title and include the sender's name in the message body.
Why this matters
Adding the channel name makes it easier to identify which conversation a message belongs to without opening Mapal One.
Key benefits
- Clearer notifications: See the group chat name and sender at a glance.
- Faster context: Quickly identify which conversation a new message belongs to.
- Easier navigation: Know which chat needs attention before opening the app.
Preview surveys and polls before activation
Engagement admins can now preview saved push surveys and polls in Mapal One before sharing them with employees, allowing them to check the employee experience without activating the survey or recording responses.
Why this matters
Previewing a survey before sharing it makes it easier to check that the content and question flow are working as expected without affecting the survey or employee responses.
Key benefits
- Review before sharing: Check the survey experience before making it available to employees.
- No impact on responses: Previewing does not create responses, activate the survey or award points.
- Supports surveys and polls: Preview is available for both push surveys and polls.
Evaluation downloads use consistent naming
Evaluation download emails and their attached files now use “Evaluations” consistently in the email heading, attachment name and email body.
Why this matters
Using the same name across the email and downloaded file makes it easier to recognise and identify evaluation exports.
Key benefits
- Clearer naming: Evaluation exports are consistently labelled.
- Easier to identify: The email and downloaded file clearly relate to evaluations.
- Consistent experience: The same terminology is used throughout the download process.
Bug fixes
Events channel displayed when no events are available: The Events channel was incorrectly displayed in Mapal One when a company had no published events. The channel is now only displayed when at least one published event is available.
